If you are organizing a trip to Zurich, here are several points that I think you may find useful. This goes past my earlier articles about choosing a good Zurich hotel.

I have compiled a lot of packing tips after many years of travelling to the well-known places like Paris and Rome and to the slightly more obscure places like Budapest and Lisbon. I thought I should share them with other travelers setting out on their travels.

Safety Procedures: Be Secure with your Trip Particulars!

Scan your passport, passport photos and paper tickets (if not the e-type) in. Store this (for example in an e-mail) in your web-based email account. You can also save the particulars of your emergency 'lost card' telephone numbers in your web based email account so you know who to get in touch with if your credit card or ATM card is lost or taken. This way, even if you lose everything, you have fast access to all your important information.

Preparing Your Wardrobe

Of course, wardrobe is a significant element to think about when travelling. Selecting the right kind of clothes needs intrinsic preparing as you also need to think about the length of your travel before you could finally decide how much clothes you need to bring. It is also recommended for you to bring clothes that are multi-purpose (those that you could use for sleeping at night and day strolling).

Put your Valuables in Different Places

Valuables should not be positioned in just one compartment. Traveler’s check, credit cards, and cash should be placed separately so that you will still have a back-up in the event that you get robbed or possibly lose a bag. It is also important to be aware where you have placed them so that you will not have a hard time locating them in times of need.

Back Packing Tips

It pays to be organized. This goes the same way in packing your things for your travel. I have experienced so much of this chore and I really find it more hassle-free if I place the items that I regularly use at the upper portion so that it would be easier and quicker for me to get them. The back pack would be lighter if you placed the heavier items on the upper portion given that the bag sits on your lower back.
