The world famous Europe city of Zürich is situated on the north side of Switzerland. It is the largest city in Switzerland and is also the economical center of Switzerland. Due to Zürich being situated on the shores of Lake Zürich it is known as Zürich. The population of this city is around 380,000. This famous city was discovered by the Romans in 58BC. As the Holy Roman Empire disolved, Zürich became a free imperial city. Now days Zürich is well known due to its large market in Gold and also due to having the world's fourth largest stock market after New York, London and Tokyo.Zürich is popular for its nice and cool weather. The cold and snow season start in November and runs through April. In winter the temperature range of this lovely city is between 5C to 6C. Officially the rainy season starts from June and enda in September'a last week but the rain falls start in about April. In summer the highest temperature is Zürich is nearly 30C to 32C. So from the temperature point of view Zürich is a top holiday destination. If you really love art then you will have to go Kunsthaus,which is an art gallery situated in the famous peacock square in Zürich. You can also go Lake Zürich, which is a really nice to see with its high speed water fall. The water at Lake Zurich is exceptionally clear and it has even been said that it is fit to drink. If you really want to enjoy your summer in Zürich then its all about Zürich's famous lakes and in the winter you can enjoy wonderful ski resorts. And of course there are many towns and villages which deserve a visit, all within a very short distance of Zürich. If you have planned to stay Zürich at night then do not worry because here in Zürich there is a variety of nightlife. Zürich also has excellent movie theaters. Unlike in Germany, movies here are not dubbed and they are mostly shown in their original language with German and French subtitles - and usually you'll see good copies. |
